Regis Philbin TV personality - November 13th, 2017 Regis Francis Xavier Philbin (/?ri?d??s ?f?lb?n/; born August 25, 1931) is an American media personality, actor, and singer, known for hosting talk and game shows since the 1960s. Philbin was born in 1931 and grew up in The Bronx, New York City in a family of Irish-Italian heritage. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame he served in the Navy, and got his television start serving as a page for the Tonight Show in the 1950s. Philbin gained his first network TV exposure in 1967 as Joey Bishop's sidekick on The Joey Bishop Show. Philbin is most widely known as the host of the New York City-based nationally syndicated talk show Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee starting in 1988, which became Live! with Regis and Kelly starting in 2001 leaving the show in 2011. Philbin holds the Guinness World Record for the most time spent in front of a television camera. Sent him his book "How I Got This Way", on 24 Sep and got it back signed on 13 Nov . Mr. Regis Philbin awesome Success! :) - February 3rd, 2017 On 1/09/2017 I mailed a letter explaining how I find Mr. Regis Philbin's work as a tv host to be very inspiring to me, a picture of me as a gift to him for inspiring me, a $5 for him to use for charity, and an SASE Envelope to Mr. Regis Philbin 101 W. 67th Street Apt. 51A New York, NY 10023-5953 (took about 4 weeks) 2/03/2017 I received a letter from him, a personalize message on a picture of him, and he also added some kind advice to me on a picture of me.
